2025 NFL mock draft: Cowboys get running mate for CeeDee Lamb; Seahawks replace DK Metcalf

On the 2025 NFL mock draft, Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys are set to make strategic decisions in support of their attacking endeavors.

Dallas Cowboys are seeking to bolster their wide receiver group in a move to complement their big playmaker CeeDee Lamb. A prediction by some has involved the Cowboys recruiting Texas receiver Matthew Golden. Golden is praised for his silky smooth route running and ball skills with him, offering him as a ideal complement to Lamb.

Another draft proposal suggests that the Cowboys might select Ohio State’s Emeka Egbuka, a quick receiver known for his strength and consistency in the middle. Egbuka’s experience playing inside and outside positions could provide Dallas with a speedster on offense.  Such potential additions aim to provide quarterback Dak Prescott with another reliable receiver, thereby widening the passing game for the Cowboys.

The Seahawks, on the other hand, are noted to complete the void left by wide receiver DK Metcalf, who was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers.  As a response, Seattle is likely to acquire Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan, a 6-foot-4, 219-pound receiver for his dominating outside presence. McMillan’s signing would complement the present receiving corps, which includes Jaxon Smith-Njigba and free-agency pickups Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.  The signing is to provide new quarterback Sam Darnold with a strong group of pass catchers, and the team’s offense remains solid even after Metcalf’s departure.

These projected draft picks reveal both franchise’s astute maneuvers to address top positional voids and strengthen their offense for the upcoming NFL season.
